Ross Archibald

 Ross Wendell Archibald, 63, of Rexburg died Jan. 25, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.  He was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Rexburg to Wendell Thomas and Jeanette Chapple Archibald.  He attended school in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1966.  He joined the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.  He was married to Trudy Frew.  They were later divorced.  He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for HK Construction for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and pretty women. With his full, white beard he was commonly mistaken for Santa Claus.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Jean Archibald of Jackson, Wyo., Carla Ann Dozier of Billings, Mont.; siblings, Bonita "Bonnie" Herndon, Wenette Hamilton, Ray Archibald and Wes Archibald.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family received friends Saturday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment was at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
