 James Russell Latimer "Grandpa Trim" Caring father, grandfather, son, and brother James Russell Latimer passed way unexpectedly August 15, 2007 of natural causes. Jim was born on May 30, 1948 to Russell and Mildred Latimer. He served faithfully on a mission for the LDS church in the southern United States, and married Nancy Elaine Richards on August 9, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Jim was an active member of the church and served many callings. His dedicated service to others was a great example to his family. He was often the first to volunteer to help others and was loved and cared for by everyone in his ward and neighborhood. He loved interacting with children, especially his three grandsons, and enjoyed teaching them how to build and repair things. As a long-time employee of the Murray Lowe's, Jim was surrounded by friends each time he went to work. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his four children, Ryan (Deidra), Heather, Patrick (Kristie), and Braden; his three grandsons, Jordan, Carter, and Peyton; as well as his parents. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20th in the Murray 22nd Ward, 619 W. 5750 So., Murray, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Sunday, August 19th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, and at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services on Monday. Interment: Lehi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an account for Jim's children and grandchildren has been set up at Deseret First Credit Union in the Latimer Family name.
