Sandra Lee Bell Parkinson, 56, of Rexburg, Idaho, died March 3, 2004, in Idaho Falls of respiratory failure.

She was born June 24, 1947, in Rexburg, to George Martell Bell and Lillie Lucille Sommer Bell. She attended school in Madison County.

During her married years, she lived in Utah, Washington and 18 years in Boise.

On August 26, 1970, she married Kraig Dee Parkinson in Rexburg.  Their marriage was solemnized one year later in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  They were divorced in October 1999.  They still remained the best of friends.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several positions.  She was an outstanding homemaker and interior designer.  She had a beautiful singing voice.  She loved gardening, especially her rose garden.

Survivors include her former husband, Kraig Parkinson; a son, Douglas (Trisha) Parkinson of Boise; to sisters, Shirley Williams of Idaho Falls and Jody (Richard) Greathouse of Boise; a brother, Bill (Mary Lou) Bell of Archer, and 6 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Darrell Bell; and a grandson, Damian.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Archer LDS Chapel.  The family will visit with friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Friday at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, and for one hour before services Saturday at the church.  Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park in Idaho Falls.
